The results derived from these first activities and projects will be the base for later evaluations of impacts and they'll supply the necessary information to energize the participation of those in charge and involved in the agriculture and forest sector in order to define possible options of adaptation facing climate change.
In short the project's final results are:
Improve the exchange of information and resources between the agents involved in the sector: administration, farmers, technicians, investigators. Promote local participation in rural Galicia. There will be 29 meetings with the 46 representatives of the "Agreement of Collaboration", of which reports will be obtained which will constitute the final documents: "Strategy to mitigate climate change in the agriculture and forest sector", "Strategy to adapt to climate change in the agriculture and forest sector".
Promote an attitude change in certain behaviours of farmers, live stock farmers and students with the realization of 41 conferences with 1800 attendants, 50 editions of the travelling exhibition and 2 participations in the International Fair "Semana Verde de Galicia" with a total of 50.000 visitors, 20.000 visits to the web page, 7.400 queries in the Life + environmental consulting office which will benefit the following:
Increase in the consumption of biofuels in the farming of the agriculture and forest sector.
Increase in the surface of solar panels installed on farms, thermic as well as photovoltaic.
Decrease in water consumption.
Increase in the surface dedicated to agroenergetic crop.
Decrease in the use of nitrogen-based fertilizers / Increase in the use of organic fertilizers.
Increase in the concentration of carbon in farm soil (reincorporation of organic material into the soil).
Increase in forest plantation (drains carbon).

LIFE+ Information & Communication will co-finance projects that implement communication and awareness raising campaigns on environmental, nature protection or biodiversity conservation issues, as well as projects related to forest fire prevention (awareness raising, special training).
LIFE + CAMPAIGN “CHANGING THE CHANGE” is part of the LIFE + Information and Communication which aims are inform and raise awareness of students about the importance of maintaining a multifunctional agriculture in Galicia and about the relation that this strategically important activity in our region has with the environment, its contribution to climate change and the possible solutions it can provide, activities, campaigns, conference and formation.
